Mum’s the word for working parents

I’ve just rung home and spoken to mum. She looks after my girls a couple of days a week – doing the school run, helping around the house, making tea and allowing me and the missus to go to work. I always feel better when I’ve spoken to mum and I know everything is OK at home. Her patience and kindness to my girls is a sight to behold and she is playing an instrumental role in helping to bring them up – whether it be helping with homework or playing house for hours on end. We all sometimes take people for granted so I want to say thank you to my parents for being their for me and mine. I simply could get by without them and I dare say there are an awful lot of working mums and dads in the same boat these days.
